Glenn Robinson III and Jordan Morgan were two essential pieces for the University of Michigan this last basketball season, and hope to have a role in the NBA by June 26th.
The 26th is significant because that is the date of the NBA Draft, and the two hopefuls tried to help their cases today by auditioning for the Los Angeles Clippers (Robinson III) and he Chicago Bulls (Jordan Morgan) respectively. (via Twitter)
Morgan seems like he would fit in really well in Chicago, a team that prides themselves on defense and grit, and he fits their style of play beautifully. He would learn from big men like Joakim Noah, Carlos Boozer, and Taj Gibson, who are three men who’ve had their fair share of success in the league. Picking their brains and trying to adapt to an NBA lifestyle would be ideal for the big man, one who will surely come into the draft with a gigantic chip on his shoulder.
Robinson III also seems like he’d fit in nicely in LA, the Clippers are “Lob City,” after-all. Having Robinson III play with Chris Paul and Blake Griffin would add layers to his game that he has not yet uncovered. Robinson III has always been a player to keep your eye on, but has an enormous ceiling if he is coached properly. Doc Rivers will try to get the best out of every player of his, and Robinson III should love that.
We will update you on where the two end up on draft night
